Speaking and training

I give talks and workshops on group work and psychodrama, mostly for clinicians and the people who train them. Most of them are experiential, so people leave having tried something, not only heard about it.

Talks I give

Beyond icebreakers

Warming up a group so people actually want to take part.

What sociometry shows about a team

Who people go to, and where conflict concentrates.

Spontaneity and codependency

Why some old patterns loosen while others hold on.

Being emotionally available for the work

For therapists and anyone whose job is looking after people.

Where I’ve spoken

I’ve spoken for nonprofits, leadership teams, and academic and practice-based conferences, including the American Society of Group Psychotherapy and Psychodrama’s annual conference for the last four years (I’ll be back in 2027), the FHCET education conference, the DSW conference hosted by the University of Alabama, and Be a Part of the Conversation. I’ve also guest lectured in Penn’s DSW program.

Trainings for teams

Through PAPI, we’ve trained clinicians and teams in eleven states, from Florida to Alaska. If you’re looking for a training for your staff, start with PAPI’s For Organizations page.
